Responsibilities for the Electronics Controls Technician position include merely are not limited to:

  • Provide technical guidance to help back up production throughput, efficiency, cost reduction and safety improvements
  • Provide detailed investigative reports to Electrical Supervisor containing what, when and root crusade forth with countermeasures on all equipment reanimation exceeding fifteen minutes.
  • Responsible for the back up of training objectives in the area of PLC and Controls to Maintenance Technicians
  • Assist with scheduling, grooming, installation, service parts inventory and maintenance of technical equipment beyond the scope of ordinary maintenance team members
  • Assist with the development of controls systems and procedures
  • Works with engineering squad to document and standardize process improvements
  • Provides technical support to existing equipment
  • Assist with the collection and storage of all control parameter settings for institute equipment
  • Assist with the evolution of upgrade plans for obsolescent equipment controls
  • Improves existing command packages to become more than reliable and production/maintenance friendly
  • Troubleshoots hardware and software issues
  • Help with the maintenance of Electrical diagrams and whatsoever other documentation for all production equipment
  • Ability to communicate well with members of the maintenance and engineering team
  • Reviews daily shift Maintenance work logs for issues and suggest and implements countermeasures
  • Maintenance support for daily production activities and general facilities maintenance including painting and repair of building
  • Power to perform electrical installations and repair using 480V to 24V
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair conveyor lines, Allen Bradley HMI units
  • Multi-task in a fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Performs any other duties as required by Management

This is a safety sensitive position.  This position is NOT remote.

The ideal candidate for the Electronics Controls Technician position should possess the following:

  • Solid experience and knowledge of PLC operations, functions and troubleshooting
  • Rockwell Automation Arrangement's Analysis
  • RS Logix 5000
  • Modbus and Modicon
  • RSlinx
  • RS Logix 500
  • AB Console-view
  • Ignition
  • SCADA
  • Digital and Analog I/O
  • 24V to 480V Troubleshooting
  • Ability to read Electrical Prints
  • Must have flexible hours (on call)

  • Ability to apply common tools such as hammers, saws, drills, and wrenches

  • Basic estimator skills

  • Willingness to piece of work and be on fourth dimension when scheduled

  • Ability to read, write and speak English

  • Stiff work ethic and eye for particular

  • Exemplary rubber tape (with previous employer)

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • General knowledge of establish layout
