I'm rating this later a 2d endeavor. The first time I followed the recipe to a T and thought it was bland, but a great starter recipe (3 ***'s then). I've since made information technology with the following substitutions. While cooking veggies and meat I added salt, pepper, minced garlic. When calculation the broth I besides added 3 tbspn of reddish vino. Instead of using 1/ii loving cup sour cream, I used 1/4 cup depression fat sour foam and 1/4 cup foam of mushroom. FANTASTIC!!!!!

This was very practiced. I followed the directions precisely, and it turned out but perfect. There was a nice balance between the flavours of all of the components, and expecially some sweetness from the onions, and neat mushroom flavours. The Stroganoff was flossy, and really flavoured each and every noodle. I made enough for 4 portions, and then that I tin swallow more at a later engagement, and I am glad I did. This is the all-time tradtional stroganoff I accept had to date. Add one clove minced garlic to mushroom/onion mixture for enhanced flavours. Thanks Coleen!

Smashing recipe! Very flavorful and very easy to make. I substituted olive oil for butter, beefiness consomme for beefiness goop and added 1 tbsp of minced garlic to the onions and mushrooms. Delicious!
09/twenty/2006
Delicious for how easy information technology is! Fabricated a few changes. Added one tsp minced garlic to the onion and mushrooms; used sliced sirloin steak instead of ground beef and added 1 tsp dijon mustard to the beef bouillon. Made the dish a little more flavorful and less Hamburger Helper-like.

I was looking for a recipe similar to the Rice-A-Roni stroganoff that was recently discontinued. With a few modifications, this recipe fit the pecker. I sauted the onion and hamburger together, adding a couple cloves of minced garlic, leaving out the butter. Simply as the hamburger started to dark-brown, I added a tin of sliced mushrooms and continued to melt. Once the hamburger was brown, I deglazed the pan with some dry sherry, then, instead of adding flour, I added the beef broth, brought it to a eddy and added i cup of minute rice and half the sour cream. Brought information technology upwards to only boiling, covered, reduced heat and simmered 10-fifteen minutes until the rice was done and it started to thicken. Correct toward the terminate, I added the rest of the sour foam. My hubby loved it. It will definitely exist made again.

Good starter recipe. Started out a scrap bland but was VERY good after some tweaking. I followed other reviewers' suggestions and added Worchestershire sauce, garlic and pepper. I also added onion common salt, plus boosted salt. Nevertheless needed a trivial kicking and then I added paprika.
01/06/2006
Pretty darn tasty! I took all the tips. two Tbsp worcsh, paprika, garlic salt yada yada. Worked out perfect.
04/24/2011
I didn't care for this recipe. First, it doesn't state it and I know most cooks do it automatically but Bleed THE FAT from the ground beef. It should still exist in the instructions considering sometimes you want to keep it and sometimes you don't. This is a don't time. Information technology tin come up out greasy and soupy if you don't. I too recommend not cooking the noodles split up. Once you've completed the sauce simply earlier the sour foam is added, through the noodles into the dish and let them absorb the sauce. The noodles come out bland if y'all don't. Season very well. I added a fair amount of table salt and pepper and still institute it bland.

slap-up starter recipe. changes i fabricated: 1. add together mushrooms when onions are partially cooked. 2. add iii T carmine wine & 3 cloves minced garlic while onion/mushroom mixture is cooking. three. brown onion in just one T butter. 4. use lite sour foam, of course. 5. add 3 more T red wine to sauce. 6. let sauce simmer for 15 minutes to allow flavors to blend. fabulous.
02/15/2006
This was yummy with my own additions. 2 garlic cloves, double mushrooms and soy sauce. For the gravy I mixed powdered beef broth, brown gravy mix and the liquid from the mushroom cans along with more water.
04/06/2009
This was really skilful. I read another reviewers' comments and included some garlic at the end of sauteeing the mushrooms and onions, and besides added some worcestershire sauce while cooking the ground beefiness. I eyeballed the flour and beef broth amounts, and added more of both as I felt was needed. I used low fat patently yogurt instead of sour cream. The sauce had a nice, thick consistency and was really yummy.
12/24/2005
This was a good/piece of cake recipe for beef stroganoff...but nosotros did brand some small-scale changes. Following the suggestions of some other reviewers, we did add together about 2 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce and substituted 1/two of the sour cream for Golden Mushroom soup; it's probably too worth noting that we cutting this recipe in one-half, and it turned out just fine. DH did enjoy the flavor more than I did...I felt it still lacked something, but I'm not certain what.

This is one of our stand past, go to meals. I made the following changes. 1. Put salted water on to boil. (should be every bit salty as the sea). two. Slice fresh mushrooms, dice one/2 medium onion, mince a clove or so of fresh garlic. three. Drop the noodles in the water just after starting the meat. iv. Place meat in skillet. Equally the meat only starts to dark-brown and juices brainstorm, add the onion. Add the garlic a niggling later on on. (Yous're cooking the onion in the beef fatty rather than butter. 5. After the meat is cooked, bleed off all only a tablespoon of grease. six. Return pan with meat to burner. Sprinkle the basis meat with 3 to 4 tablespoons of flour and cook for a minute or ii (the culinary term is vocalizer and it allows the grease (fat) to coat the flour and cooks the flour. seven. Add ane cup of beef stock/broth and stir. Add more equally necessary to form a squeamish smoother sauce. eight. Add mushrooms and simmer. The sauces will thicken as it cooks. 9. Continue to simmer until mushroom are washed. 10. Just prior to service; take information technology off the heat and stir in the room temperature sour cream. 1 pan, quick, fast, and in hurry. If it is likewise dry or bland try changing the beef or beefiness stock/broth The key is the beef stock/broth. Scratch made is the best; nevertheless I practice quite well with beefiness base of operations or Bouillon. Lately I've used "Better Than Bouillon" by Superior Touch. Another key is the ground beef. I notice the 80/twenty good. The 90/10 seems to be too dry.

EXCELLENT!! I followed the communication of other people who rated this recipe and added some chopped garlic (two cloves) & red wine (i/2 cup)to brown the beef...along with the butter & afterwards the flour etc. A lilliputian salt & pepper with only one cup (8 oz) of sour cream added near the stop merely turned out to be crawly. I also used black angus london bake beefiness; cut very thin across the grain; that was cooked on a gas grill several weeks before (that I normally save & freeze for steak fajitas) instead of the ground beefiness. The beefiness added a nice slight smoky season to the sauce which was served over lightly buttered egg noodles. A huge hit with my friends who easily compared it with like dishes at 4-star french restaurants. A VERY VERY good base recipe for beef stroganof. Highly recommended!!!

This was very good, just I used many of the previous reviewers' tips and a few of my ain. I added minced garlic to the mushrooms and onions- we love garlic and I think this would take been a bit banal without it. I did not melt my hamburger in butter - who needs the extra fatty? I plant that the 1 loving cup of sour cream was non enough, so I added a tin can of condensed cream of mushroom soup and a few dashes of worchestershire and dijon mustard. My young man LOVED this. My 1 tip to fellow cooks - employ a VERY big skillet. By the time you get two pounds of beef, cups broth, and all the other ingredients in the pan - there'south barely any room to stir. And stirring is definitely necessary to blend the ingredients well. Likewise, I used a 16 oz package of egg noodles and found information technology to be also many noodles. Definitely pay attending and only use 12 oz. Particularly if yous're like me and like the noodles mixed in with the beef sauce.

This recipe is a good starter, merely needs a few tweaks to bring it from "ho-hum" to something special. I saute chopped onions with a clove of minced garlic in Canola oil until almost done, add together fresh sliced mushrooms and continue cooking for a minute or so. Remove from pan. In same pan, fry thinly sliced round or sirloin steak which has been seasoned with pepper and common salt (optional). When done, add flour, one T. Worcestershire sauce, 1 T. lemon juice, the beefiness broth or bouillon, and one bay leafage. Stir until smooth and add together the mushrooms/onion mixture. When heated through, add sour foam. Stir until combined, remove from rut and serve on top of the cooked and drained egg noodles.

This is ane of my kids' favourite dishes and information technology is so like shooting fish in a barrel that they can help arrive too. It is a go-to for busy weeknights. I always utilize lots of mushrooms, olive oil, lean ground beef, and low-fatty sour foam. A few times I used whole-wheat flour and that worked fine too.
01/04/2011
Very good and easy! Nosotros made this twice already, once with thinly sliced sirloin steak and the 2nd fourth dimension with ground beefiness. Both times turned out well but kids like it more than with sliced sirloin steak. Would take rated this 5 stars, except we made some changes per the recommendations of others. Nosotros replaced one/2 c sour foam with cream of mushroom soup, added worcestershire sauce and garlic, and omitted the flour equally the sauce was thick plenty.
01/19/2011
I rarely take the fourth dimension to write a review or rate some of the recipes on here, which I should do more considering I appreciate when people rate and review mine. I fabricated this recipe as is and I found information technology to exist very flavorful. I did add together Worchestershire sauce which added that little "actress" that it needed. I also used depression sodium beef broth and so that I was in control of the sodium content. I do not agree with the amount of butter used in this recipe and would well-nigh certainly not use that much again. That's the reason it only gets the iv stars instead of 5. The ease of this recipe is swell. I know there are many, many ways to make a skillful stroganoff, but this i is a keeper for me and my family unit when a quick, merely delicious meal is needed on a busy weeknight. Thank yous for sharing this recipe. I will admittedly brand this stroganoff again!!!
09/03/2013
I have been making a like recipe to this for years with one VERY importantant twist. Become ahead and cook your pasta every bit usual. I brown the footing beef and when almost half done I add the chopped onion. Sautee all until done. Drain the excess fat from the browned beefiness. Add together your fresh chopped garlic and sautee just a couple of minutes being careful not to fire the garlic. This is where I make my cloak-and-dagger twist to this recipe. I have found that when y'all use flour to thicken the consistency of your sauce and add together beefiness stock or beef bullion, there is an easier and much more delicious twist. I mix three-4 talespoon of Chocolate-brown Gravy mix in about a cup of h2o and dissolve very well. Add the brownish Gravy mix and information technology thickens the sauce and gives it the Flavor Heave needed to keep this recipe from tasting so banal. Add together the mushroms and continue to simmer until information technology thickens. I then add the sourcream before serving and stir slightly so yous can encounter the sour cream and chocolate-brown gravy slightly mixed together. Now that's Gooood!!!
09/16/2012
Nosotros actually liked information technology. I felt that the sauce need a bit extra beef flavor, and then I added some beef base then it was perfect. Easy and tasty. Volition make again.
09/xviii/2008
actually good. I used stew beefiness instead of ground beef.
01/28/2015
Hubby loved it...that'southward all that matters. Next fourth dimension I will add salt as I cook the meat and peradventure add garlic for flavor. Otherwise, this is a groovy recipe! From start of chopping onions to the table...35 minutes! Thank yous!
02/23/2012
This is a fantastic dish! I did still make slight changes: For my beef broth I just added near 3 cups of water to my hamburger while cooking with some garlic powder, table salt, pepper, and dried parsley and tuckered it and set it aside. I also used a 16 ounce container of sour foam rather than but a cup. I like to sprinkle a little more garlic powder, salt, and pepper in the end. Wonderful dish! Thanks!
10/05/2012
Easy and tasty. I did add fresh garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and doubled the mushrooms. My married man liked this.
02/fourteen/2011
Awesome and easy! Thanx for the recipe.
07/31/2012
Sooooo good! My family loved it! Super like shooting fish in a barrel and quick to make and tastes significantly meliorate then the boxed stuff. This will be one I use for years to come.
10/03/2010
I made this recipe the other dark, although I made it a piffling different and it came out GREAT! I don't like beef stroganoff at all, never have, simply this was really actually skillful! I used 1 med. onion, 1lb of footing beef. two tbsp of flour, 1/2 C sour cream, 1 ane/2 C of beef goop and 1 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce along with all the other ingredients this recipe chosen for. The Worcestershire sauce gives it a really skillful flavor.
04/thirty/2009
Really good - anybody cleaned their plates. Used beef stew meat instead of hamburger, and cooked this in the crock pot. First I coated the beef with flour and browned in batches with a lilliputian olive oil. Once all the beef was browned, I added a mixture of half shallots and half white onion (didn't accept enough of either by themselves) and pre-sliced baby Bella mushrooms to the skillet and lightly browned them. Added mushroom/onion mixture and beef to the crockpot, deglazed the skillet with some of the beef broth, then added all the broth to the crockpot. I also added some thyme leaves, as I like the flavour they add. When I got dwelling house, I mixed about a tablespoon of flour with the sour cream, so mixed the sour foam in the crockpot to finish. Served over kluski egg noodles. Great and super easy dinner to come up habitation to.
01/24/2008
I didn't really follow the recipe simply I took another reviwers advice instead and cooked an onion in canola oil, then browned ane lb. of actress lean ground beef, added one tin can of consomme soup, then 1 loving cup of sour cream and 4 tbsp. of flour to the mixture and simmered until thick. I served this over egg noodles, and it was very yummy! thanks for the thought!
10/05/2000
I actually liked this dish. This will be a regular at my house. In the hereafter, though, I'll drain the mushrooms and onions after sauteeing them. Calculation them dorsum in with their juices acquired the thickening broth to become fashion too thin. (Oh ... I did add together a splash of sherry with the broth. I couldn't resist!)
09/29/2001
The 2d time I fabricated this recipe, I added ane/3 c. white wine when adding the beef broth. It took a few minutes longer to cook, only the result was amazing!
09/26/2014
The only things I changed is that I don't utilise butter and I added 1/iv cup of ruby vino. This time I had 93/7 fat ground beef. This is my go to repast for quick, succulent repast that makes me look skilful!
08/xiv/2003
I actually thought this was easy to make. The merely fourth dimension I take ever eaten stroganoff was when I bought the boxed version. I really liked this and since my husband was belatedly for dinner, it was an easy recipe to hold up for a while. I did read the reviews before making and took some others ideas by adding some garlic to the meat while browning and a trivial bit of white wine to the sauce. It actually tasted very adept. I recall side by side time I will try information technology as information technology stands and see what the outcome is. Cheers for posting.
02/xvi/2003
Excellent, like shooting fish in a barrel dinner. I added 2 cloves chopped garlic while browning the beef.
01/26/2011
Exactly what I was looking for. Tasted great! the only thing I did dissimilar was that I added nearly 4 cloves of garlic to the mushroom/onion when sauteing. This tin easily be modified to be a fleck more center healthy by using ground turkey, omitting the butter and just using a tablespoon of salubrious oil to cook the mushroom/onion/garlic and using a lite sour cream. YUM!!!
05/22/2012
This was great! Followed to a T with the exception of calculation salt and pepper according to my ain taste and likewise calculation swiss cheese to the sauce. Delicious!
11/29/2005
This was enjoyable, however I wish I had read the reviews before I attempted this. I made the mistake of using low fat sour cream and it was much likewise watery and non rich enough. Alive for today and use total fat sour foam!! I will try this once more though, it was very nice and heated up very well the adjacent day. :) Thanks for the recipe Colleen!
02/18/2006
Not bad. I thought information technology was a little on the banal side, only not bad.
03/10/2011
Very easy and quick, taste is good but if you add some extra spices is even better. My hubby and teenagers liked it.
10/13/2002
This recipe was super easy to brand and super delicious. In the past, I'd only used sliced beef steaks in my Stroganoff. But, after trying this recipe, I'll definitely switch! It'due south a bit more tasty and a lot less expensive to make. My married man is non a stroganoff fan. Simply, later on fooling him 1 nighttime by telling him that it was Hamburger Helper, he now requests it -- very often! The simply modification that I fabricated was to add a fleck more beef goop, to give it a little more season.
03/xvi/2010
This was good and piece of cake and made great lunch for the next day. My husband made information technology we changed the servings to 4 and added one TBS. Worschestire sauce, 2 cloves of garlic and ane/2 c. of red wine. Will definately make it over again.
08/07/2011
My husband loves Beef Stroganoff. It's not good for you by whatever ways, but you lot can probably use low fat cream cheese and whole wheat noodles to cut downwardly on the calories and fat.
12/08/2012
SUPER piece of cake! Groovy beginners recipe for learning beef stroganoff. I always play around with my recipes likewise and this i is pretty forgiving.
03/01/2011
First-class. Based on reviews, I sauted a sliced onion and 8 oz. of sliced mushrooms in table salt, pepper, garlic powder & ane tablespoon of olive oil and removed from pan. In the same pan, I then brownish 2 pounds of footing turkey seasoned with salt, pepper and arlic powder and add 1 tin of beef broth. In a separate bowl, I mix 1 cup of fat costless sour cream with 3 tablespoons of flour with salt and pepper to taste, then add to the meat mixture and let simmer until flavors have composite.
xi/16/2014
Like shooting fish in a barrel and good
01/11/2011
Yummy! Followed the recipe, but added fresh garlic when cooking the mushrooms and onion. My whole family liked this - especially my 2 year quondam!
12/29/2010
Like shooting fish in a barrel and inexpensive. I added a dash of worchestershire, minced garlic, blackness pepper, and a little ruby wine to round out the season.
06/sixteen/2006
First-class! I made a few substitutions because of my bare pantry (1 cup water w/beef bullion instead of canned beefiness broth, onion powder instead of onions) and fabricated some changes due to taste (added 2 tsp. minced garlic to saute pan, used 1/2 of sour cream, added 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce & added 1 cup foam of mushroom soup), but it was AWESOME and my family loved it. Will try again the "correct" style! Thanks for the bully recipe.
11/22/2002
this was a very easy meal to prepare. i added green peppers to my mushrooms and onions. i used lowfat sour foam and it didn't modify it one chip. i also added a fiddling garlic powder and black pepper for a stronger gustatory modality. Not bad!!!!!
08/04/2004
Excellent with the following modifications. First, I sauted onions in cooking spray, not butter. Then browned beef with no butter. In add-on to beefiness broth, I added 3/four cup dry cherry wine and a few dashes of worcestershire sauce and a tbsp of cornstarch. I so had to eddy for about 15 minutes to thicken. (I skipped the mushrooms). Finally, I added the onions and sour cream and served over hot buttered egg noodles - delicious and flavorful. Will make over again - thanks!
01/17/2012
A quick recipe for a proficient family meal, I added some garlic to the mushrooms and onion while they were cooking, definitely a recipe I will brand over again. More than enough left over for lunch the next day!
01/21/2007
This recipe definitely deserves 5 stars! Like shooting fish in a barrel to brand, fast and delicious... It will become a staple at my house. I had never made stroganoff earlier because I'm non fond of beef but with basis meat, information technology's a different story! Thanks for posting!
01/02/2012
The meal was great, like shooting fish in a barrel, and quick. I made a few changes because I didn't have mushrooms. I added one/2 cup of mushroom soup and strained the rest to put the mushrooms in the repast. I also added mustard seed seasoning and combined my noodles and stroganoff mixture before serving.
03/07/2012
Good flavour. I used half ground beef and half sausage. I didn't add as much sour cream and left out the mushrooms altogether. Will brand this again for certain! Very like shooting fish in a barrel!
05/26/2010
I similar using Campbell's condensed double forcefulness beef broth or one can each of Campbell'due south beef goop and Campbell'southward french onion in this recipe to give it an extra umph in flavour. Slap-up over egg noodles, all-time over garlic mashed potatoes. This is SO good.
09/26/2014
Really tasty! I added some minced garlic, though, and some garlic table salt and freshly ground black pepper while the meat was cooking. Very piece of cake, and very delicious! It was fifty-fifty tastier reheated the next day.
eleven/11/2009
My boyfriend actually loves stroganoff, and this recipe was perfect. Topped with a little sour foam, it was bully. I almost always add extra pepper to things like this, so I think that was the merely affair I kinda changed. Great recipe!
03/24/2006
v stars with changes! Used basis turkey & worceshire sauce to flavour it. Also added two cloves of garlic to the mushrooms, used RED onion, and added 1 beef bullion cube.
08/thirteen/2007
This was absolutely wonderful. Being single, I commonly brand large meals on Sunday evening and so that I'll have something for the rest of the week for left-overs. This is fifty-fifty amend the second mean solar day. I didn't actually brand any changes except for adding garlic to the mix. I only added the ground beef to the onion/mushroom/garlic mixture instead of removing. I mixed the flour in with the broth which did brand it easier to mix. Also, only to cutting out a step and extra dishes, I doubled the broth and just added the uncooked noodles to the whole mix, covered and let simmer for most a one-half hr. Will definitely make once more.
11/18/2009
As a jumping off point this recipe is peachy. Information technology is quick and like shooting fish in a barrel and kid friendly. My family loves mushrooms so I was able to add together more than of the things that we love. Also I bumped upward the flavor with some crushed garlic and a little scarlet pepper flake. Information technology completed the flavor to perfection. My family loved it and I will brand it again and again.
07/09/2013
Followed the directions except I added cream of mushroom soup and 1 1/two cups of beef broth. Family LOVED information technology. All of them. That is a rarity in our house. Thanks!
06/19/2011
Very skillful. I had some left over trip tip so I but made the sauce and served it over the meat along with steamed white rice (my husband likes this kind of dish amend with rice than with noodles.)
09/12/2012
I've been using this exact recipe for years. I love it. Merely I noticed by reading some of the reviews that some people have trouble witht the sour foam breaking/seperating. You should have the pan off the heat before adding in the sour cream. Don't let it boil after adding information technology. Ane cup of sour cream at room temp. won't cool the dish down much at all. I take the sour cream out when I start dicing the onions and mushrooms.
02/22/2010
very good recipe. Modified information technology only slightly by using strips of round steak that I had left over. And used but a bit of cream of mushroom forth with the sour cream. Makes it quite tasty. Will practice this i again.
04/04/2011
i gotta say i didn't call up this was astonishing...but my family did, get effigy. used chicken goop (bullion) instead of beef broth. added a couple cloves minced garlic to sauteing onions.
07/thirteen/2011
It was good except it called for too much onion. I had even reduced the onion to half a small onion and it was to overpowering of a taste. Added garlic powder and lawry'southward seasoning while cooking the meat. Perchance would suggest a cherry onion or a sweet vidalia onion for a sweeter flavor.
eleven/03/2009
Thanks to reviewer "awesome in tum." I took the suggestion of thinly slicing sirloin into strips instead of the ground beef. A fleck more fourth dimension consuming but very much worth the extra effort! My husband absolutely loved this recipe and and so did I. Read the suggestions by "crawly in stomach" and follow for a bully dish.
01/14/2007
e'er comes out great! a fast and piece of cake meal to make when you're presssured for time! the family loves it! and heats up groovy the next twenty-four hour period!
04/21/2008
I added Worcestershire sauce as well as French cut green beans. I skipped the chopped onion and fresh mushrooms and in place of them, used dried onions and canned mushrooms as I was lacking the actress time needed for the fresh ingredients. It all turned out well and my family enjoyed information technology.
02/14/2011
it was ok just it seemed a bit dri
ten/12/2014
I did non care for this.
09/13/2011
I've fabricated this several times. It has great flavour and is and so easy to make.
12/12/2011
I used 1lb beefiness...2 lb would accept been overkill. Skipped mushrooms and oil, and flavor was good. Fifty-fifty my two-and-a-half year old ate it!
08/10/2002
My family ate this upwards, kids and adults. Great recipe. One thing worth noting: I used lowfat sour cream and it did detract from the flavour. Next fourth dimension I will just go full fatty.
09/26/2014
Great quick supper. Lends itself to ingredients on hand!
eleven/13/2010
I honey Beef Stroganoff, just this recipe is lacking a little zing. I use strips of beef, two-3 cloves of garlic, W-sauce, and my secret ingredient: Dijon mustard. Def kicked it into high gear.
04/twenty/2008
This recipe was great. The next day I added a tin of love apple soup (with milk) to the leftovers and nosotros had soup. Try it. It's really good.
03/29/2006
This was skillful but I'd much rather make this with steak cutting into strips.I used lean hamburger and even after draining the grease off I still found it besides greasy. If your going to endeavor this recipe use actress lean hamburger but for the price of information technology you might as well become with 1 and a one-half lbs. of steak.
09/03/2013
While the recipe lends itself to a tasty and simple entree, the accompanying picture is really a turn off. The beef looks completely raw and the sauce has a red tint instead of the nice brownish beef and gravy that the recipe creates. Please supplant this flick with something more than representative.
03/14/2011
Nosotros halved the recipe and used basis turkey in identify of the ground beef. Did not use any butter. Used reduced fat sour cream. Side by side time, will add some garlic. Served with salad and "whole wheat beer bread" from this site.
05/07/2011
This actually turned out pretty good, simply I did make a few changes. First of all, I cut the recipe in half considering it was but for 2 of us. I used ground turkey, reduced fat sour foam and chicken stock considering that is what I had. I too added diced bell peppers and some paprika. I felt it needed more sour cream because it was still a little thin, so I added in near another ane/4 cup. I will definitely make this again because it was yummy, easy, inexpensive and very filling!
06/27/2010
This was such an piece of cake recipe! My teenagers and married man actually enjoyed it!!
02/25/2007
As is, this is ok. I left the sliced mushrooms out due to preference and subbed a tin of cream of mushroom. To arrive healthier, I use olive oil instead of butter. Sauteed some chopped garlic (1/two - 1 T?) with the onions, and drained it the beefiness & onions before adding the sauce. I just use about two T of flour to remainder the gustation, and add most a quater of a cup milk to make information technology saucier. Very easy and quick! My Ingredients: 1 can cream of mushroom soup, 1 onion, two-four T olive oil, 2 lbs beef, ii T flour, 1/ii c sour cream, 1/four c milk
03/07/2006
I have been making this for years at present, with the improver of a sprinkling of chopped parsley on pinnacle as a garnish. The family loves information technology, and has christened it Sorta Stroganoff
05/04/2005
I am ane to follow a recipe and and then add a few of my ain touches. Well I was in a hurry and did'nt bother to add together anything extra and that was a fault. This recipe was then banal it was hardly touched. I volition not make this over again, information technology was terrible.
05/13/2012
Very quick and simple, merely lacking on sense of taste. Information technology tasted like something was missing.
06/08/2010
this was kinda bland... I will stick to my regular beefiness stroganoff recipe.
04/26/2011
I fallowed.the recipe but added one packet of dry onion soup mix. It was the best I have ever tasted!

Liked this recipe because it was quick and easy. Demand to add some extra seasonings to arrive taste like true beef stroganoff. Was a bit bland with only salt and pepper. Added onion common salt, and garlic common salt also as the common salt and pepper. For low sodium diets onion and garlic powders can be substituted. Also helps to mince some fresh garlic and melt with onion and mushrooms at kickoff of recipe. Very Yummy!

I made this dish for dinner concluding night and was delicious. The only changes I made were using beefiness stew meat instead of ground beef and adding a few tablespoons of red wine into the meat and sauce mixture. Cheers for such an like shooting fish in a barrel recipe. I'll definately be making this again.

I simply fabricated this for 12 people last night, and they loved it. I have e'er made my version at home with foam of mushroom soup, but this was so much better, and quite easy. I will be making this for the family soon.

This is a corking Stroganoff -no fuss no mess. Since in that location are only two of united states at home, I used one pound of beef, 3 Tbs of flour, 1 Tbs Worcestershire sauce and 1 loving cup of fat gratuitous sour foam and the stroganoff even so came out terrific. Since I didn't have egg noodles in my pantry, I used fusili (or rotini) and my husband really liked them meliorate. By the mode, the left over sauce freezes very well. Thaw to room temperature then estrus and serve. Great make alee dinner.

Very skillful recipe. I fabricated this vegetarian with Morning Farm Crumbles instead of beef, and used a vegetable broth instead of beef, but other than that followed the recipe. Everyone loved it..even the carnivores. Thank you, keen recipe.

Quite good, but I preferred it with a good batch of mashed potatoes.
